Attributions and reviews
Most authors have rejected this etching. NHD considers it a product of Rembrandt’s workshop.
Rovinsky attributes the etching to Johannes van Vliet. Münz and White-Boon think only the rework is by Van Vliet.
States
NH lists two states, all other authors list one state only.
In the 2nd state (NHD only) the back of the headdress is made more round. In the same area there are some additional curved shading lines.
