Attributions and reviews
Almost all authors do not consider this plate to be by Rembrandt. NH considers the print to be made by the workshop. Münz, Biörklund and Rovinsky suggested Johannes van Vliet.
States
NH, as most other authors, list one state only. NU lists one trial proof and three states. The differences in the 2nd state of WB are not found by NH.
Middleton and Nowell-Usticke mention an impression without monogram and date in the Fitzgerald Museum in Cambridge, but it has not been found by NH.
Prints and collections
NH lists four impressions, in the Rijksmuseum, the Albertina, the Louvre and in the Gemäldegalerie in Dresden.
