Signed with a monogram in the upper left, very faint RH, not dated.

The copperplate was not in one of the early sales or collections and is almost certainly not anymore in existence.

This print is rejected by most authors, but accepted by the New Hollstein.
Middleton, Rovinsky and Münz attribute the print to Johannes van Vliet.


States

NH and WB list two states.
In the 2nd state the plate is drastically reduced, cutting of the monogram. The outline of the fur cap is strengthened.


Prints and collections

There are only two impressions of each state known, both in the Bibliothèque Nationale and the British Museum.
