Description
Most authors date the print much earlier, around 1634, Middleton even 1628.
Hinterding pointed at the fact that Rembrandt started using Oriental paper, on which all four known impressions are printed, in 1647.

There is a copy in the same direction by Flameng in the catalogue of Blanc 1859-61, p. 355 (46 x 73 mm, WB)
Attributions and reviews
The plate is not by Rembrandt according to Coppier, Rovinsky and Singer.
Münz considers it an unfinished work by van Vliet.

Prints and collections
There are only four impressions of this etching known, on Japanese paper in the Rijksmuseum and the Bibliothèque Nationale and on Chinese paper in the British Museum and the Fondation Custodia (Lugt Collection) in Paris.
